The app that reduces food waste

Shocked at seeing perfectly good food thrown away at a restaurant, a group of friends vowed to do something about food waste.

Their idea was to create a marketplace for stores to sell their surplus food for a cheaper price. An app seemed like the easiest way for people to get involved. With Android, the development process allowed them to quickly launch their app called Too Good To Go and continue to make improvements to the service as it grows.

Since their new CEO, Mette Lykke, came on board, there are now 3.5 million people using the app in 7 different countries. So far they have saved over 3 million meals, and this is just the start. Too Good To Go has a bold mission: that all food produced is food consumed.
