Traineeship Programme at Google Singapore
We’re back with a new cohort of the Traineeship Programme, in partnership with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). Trainees will undergo a 12-month full-time training programme, which comprises 3 months of external training and 9 months of on-the-job training at Google Singapore. Trainees will choose from one of two training tracks: Professional Cloud Architect or Digital Marketing. Look forward to a robust and practical curriculum guided by industry practitioners and mentorship from Googlers.
Upon successful completion, all trainees will receive a certificate of completion, and get access to the Skills Ignition SG Outplacement Programme.

Learning tracks
Professional Cloud Architect
SGD$3,500* per month
This track equips you with the skills to advance your career in cloud architecture. During the 3 months external training, you’ll learn how to:
- Deploy solution elements, including infrastructure components such as virtual machines, networks, systems and applications services like Kubernetes.
- Gain real world experience through hands-on labs projects that you can share with potential employers.
- Upon passing the exam, you’ll earn the industry-recognised Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification which you can share with potential employers and your professional network.
During the 9 months on-the-job training at Google Singapore, you’ll learn how to:
- Explore and understand the diverse range of Google Cloud solutions and their go-to-market approaches.
- Identify, research and analyse customer needs across various industries to plan and manage solution development projects.
- Design and develop internal systems and product demonstration for externals to support the pre/post sales program.
- Share new knowledge and solutions developed during your on-the-job training with both internal stakeholders (sales, pre-sales engineers, post-sales engineers) and external stakeholders (resellers, solution partners)
- Understand and participate in a holistic enterprise business motion contributing technical solutions in customer and partner engagements working with various Google Cloud services.
Throughout the Traineeship programme, you will have the opportunity to learn about how AI works, applying AI as a Cloud professional and explore Google's approach to AI.
For the Professional Cloud Architect track, the minimum requirements are:
- A Diploma/ Bachelor's degree or background in Information Technology or Computer Science, OR
- Basic understanding of Computer, Networks, Infrastructure and/or Cloud Computing
Digital Marketing
SGD$3,000* per month
In this track, you will explore the best practices of digital marketing and practice the tools and techniques using digital marketing channels, content and data.
During the 3 months external training, you’ll learn:
- Current and emerging digital marketing trends across industries
- Ways to evaluate and utilise different marketing channels and discuss the interactions between them
- Methods to analyse business objectives to marketing objectives
- Concepts to help create digital marketing strategies and plans with a team
- Metrics to help evaluate the effectiveness and impact of digital marketing and advertising platforms
- Best practices to develop digital marketing plans and growth strategies for organisations that help meet customer needs
You will transition from classroom learning to on-the-job training (OJT) at Google Singapore. During the 9-month OJT phase, you will explore different areas and work on real projects scoped by your hosting team. You will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills and gain digital skill sets beyond what you've learned in the initial 3 months of the program.
Throughout the Traineeship programme, you will have the opportunity to learn about how AI works, applying AI as a digital marketing professional and explore Google's approach to AI.
For the Digital Marketing track, the minimum requirements are:
- A Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in any field, OR
- Background in Marketing

During the 3 months external training with our learning partners, classes will be conducted both online and in-person. In-person sessions will be held at our training partner's venue. Trainees will also go through 9 months of on-the-job training with Google Singapore (subject to hybrid work guidelines).
You will receive a certificate of completion, if you meet the required attendance % and the applicable assessment criteria for each track. (Note: For Professional Cloud Architect track, trainees need to pass the certification exam in order to earn the Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.)
Trainees receive career coaching and holistic support to develop their professional skills throughout the programme. Our goal is to equip trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to seek their next meaningful opportunity after completing the traineeship.
The goal of the programme is to give you the experience you need to apply for entry-level roles in the industry and help equip you to pursue a meaningful opportunity after completing your traineeship. Following programme completion, and depending on role availability and your profile, you can explore and apply to full-time opportunities at Google via Google's career page. You could also consider other opportunities in the industry or continue your education.
