Google AI for Education Accelerator Application

Thank you for your interest in the Google AI for Education Accelerator, a Google AI Works for America initiative to empower students and faculty with critical AI and job-ready skills. The Google AI for Education Accelerator is an institution-level program that provides organizations access to training, tools, and resources, along with opportunities to learn and share best practices with other colleges and universities across the country, all at no-cost. The goal is to help students and faculty gain AI skills and prepare for the jobs of today and tomorrow. Participating organizations (“Organizations”) receive access to the following program offerings (“Program Offerings”):

  • Training and Tools
    • No-cost AI training and Google Career Certificates that you can provide to your students, faculty, and staff
    • No-cost, institution-level access to Gemini and NotebookLM through the Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals (Terms Apply) that supports compliance with industry regulations like COPPA, FERPA, and more
  • An AI Learning Network: Program Support & Best Practices
    • Access to learning opportunities with Google and other innovative higher education organizations
    • Platform on-boarding support
    • On-demand program implementation resources
    • Webinars from Google and other Accelerator organizations around best practices and an opportunity to share your own
  • Recognition and Marketing
    • Designation as a Google AI for Education Accelerator member
    • Opportunities for co-marketing and thought leadership with Google and other organizations

Google AI for Education Accelerator Requirements

To join the Google AI for Education Accelerator, organizations must:

  1. Be based in the United States
  2. Be a government-recognized, accredited educational institution delivering instruction to students. Currently the accelerator is only available to not-for-profit higher education institutions and public higher education systems.
  3. Have an active website related to their educational Organization
  4. Committed to using Google Career Certificates, Google AI Essentials and/or Gemini education accounts for your Organization (or system), both of which are no-cost
  5. Have the person submitting the application be a member of the organization applying for participation in the Accelerator, and have the authority to submit this application on behalf of your Organization
