COURSE 1 • 32 HOURS
In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of writing simple Python programs using common structures. By the end, you will understand the advantages of programming in IT and be able to write programs in Python to solve a complex problem.
COURSE 2 • 41 HOURS
This course teaches how to manipulate files and processes on your computer's operating system, use regular expressions, and practice using the Linux command line. The course culminates in writing a program to process errors in a log file and generate a summary.
COURSE 3 • 27 HOURS
In this course, you’ll learn how to keep track of the different versions of your code and configuration files using a popular version control system (VCS) called Git. We'll also cover how to set up an account with a service called GitHub so that you can create your very own remote repositories to store your code and configuration.
COURSE 4 • 24 HOURS
In this course, you will learn strategies for solving technical problems that you might face in your IT role. You’ll explore various approaches to troubleshooting common pitfalls in your code and IT infrastructure.
COURSE 5 • 32 HOURS
In this course, you will learn how to apply automation to manage computer fleets, including deploying new computers and keeping machines updated. You will also learn how to manage both physical machines and virtual machines, whether they are running in your office or in the cloud.
COURSE 6 • 21 HOURS
At the end of this course, you’ll be able to take a description of a problem and use your skills to create a solution — just like you would on the job. In your final capstone project, you'll be given a description of what your customer needs and it will be up to you to create a program to address it.

The Google IT Automation with Python Certificate costs $49 per month on Coursera after an initial 7-day free trial period. All Google Career Certificates are completely self-paced. At about 10 hours of study per week, many learners complete a Google Career Certificate in three to six months.
If you are interested in financial assistance for the Google IT Support or IT Automation with Python Certificates, you may be eligible for financial aid via Coursera through the course page. Recipients of financial aid will have full access to course content and assignments required to earn a certificate.
