Google has also funded 10,000 scholarships for Google Career Certificates across the UK, which will be distributed by Grow with Google partners. The Google Career Certificate Scholarship Program gives you access to take the certificate courses free of charge as long as you are in receipt of the scholarship.
You do not need any experience in your chosen certificate field to take Google Career Certificates. Google Career Certificates are completely online, so there’s no need to show up to a classroom in person. You can access your instructional videos, readings and assignments anytime and anywhere via the web or your mobile device.
After you receive your Google Career Certificate, make sure to add this accomplishment to your CV and your LinkedIn page. Then start looking up roles you would like to get or companies you would like to work for relating to the skills you have acquired, and when you see a role that you like the sound of, apply.
Finishing a Google Career Certificate will give you complimentary access to the Big Interview portal (EN only) which can help you prepare for job search and interviews. You can also use Google’s Interview Warmup (EN only) to practise for interviews in your selected certificate field.
The short answer is yes. You will need to upload a copy of a valid Government issued ID. The uploaded file will then be reviewed and verified by Coursera and once it’s been approved, you’ll be able to [once you have finished all the courses within your chosen certificate programme] download your digital certificate. If you are a scholarship recipient and have issues in providing a valid Government issued ID, please speak to your scholarship programme administrator.
More information about how to verify your ID can be found here.
You can take most Google Career Certificates using a browser or Coursera app but some modules in IT Support and UX Design will require you to download some applications that work only on PC/Mac.
Google Career Certificates were designed and built by subject-matter experts and senior practitioners at Google from each of the job fields. Every certificate has been created to equip learners with theoretical and practical knowledge and real-life problem-solving skills to support you to be successful in an entry-level job. Expert industry organisations and platforms - like the Project Management Institute for project management, Tableau for data analytics, and Figma for UX design, to name a few - consulted and collaborated on material.
Coursera is a global online learning platform that offers access to online courses, and while our Certificates are hosted on their platform, Coursera is not part of Google or Alphabet.
