Before attending Google Cloud Computing Foundations, students should:
- Have basic IT knowledge and be interested in learning more about Cloud and ML.
- Have competency in at least one language (such as Python, Java).
- Be familiar with the basics of shell scripting, SQL.
After earning the four badges from Google Cloud Computing Foundations, students may enrol into Google Cloud Skilling. Prerequsite of Google Cloud Skilling may vary by institution.

The Google Cloud Teaching & Learning credits programme provides Google Cloud credits to faculty and students at higher education institutions in Malaysia. Eligibility requirements:
- Your higher education institution must be regionally-accredited, degree-granting, and not-for-profit
- Faculty must be currently teaching an eligible course
- Students must be currently enrolled in an eligible course
