Championing Black-owned businesses with Black Pound Day
Google is supporting Black Pound Day, a movement to address the economic inequalities our Black communities have experienced, caused by structural and systemic racism over generations.
Black business owners are four times more likely to be rejected for loans, or pay higher interest rates than other businesses. We believe that increasing economic opportunities for our Black community is a powerful first step to address these inequalities.
Every pound spent with Black-owned businesses will help, so that's why we're making it easier for people to find and buy from Black-owned businesses.
We're also providing free 1-to-1 mentoring and webinars to Black business owners to help them grow online and reach new customers.
