Opticalling sets its sights on success in Europe
Online shop Opticalling is owned by Cadena Visual, a Spanish chain that sells glasses and contact lenses nationwide. The Opticalling team uses a wide range of Google products, but the most important of these is Google Shopping – a tool that allows them to promote their products. During the initial phases of the project, Shopping helped Opticalling achieve a growth rate of over 300% from their first to their second year. From then on in, Opticalling has continued to grow at a consistent rate, and has even started selling its products abroad. In fact, 10% of the company’s total sales are international, and all of these come via Google. Director Juan Manuel Botías highlights: “Shopping is great because photos of our products are shown to potential customers, making purchases much more likely.” Opticalling is now looking to replicate its success in Spain in other European markets.
