Chenoa uses the Internet to promote her music

Since her rise to fame in the legendary first round of the Spanish talent show ‘Operation Triumph’ (Operación Triunfo), Chenoa hasn’t stopped releasing records and touring all over Spain and Latin America. There’s no doubt that people like her music. But this Spanish-Argentine singer is aware that times have changed and that an Internet presence is crucial if she wants to make her name known. That’s why she’s active on a range of social media sites, and since 2012 she has also used YouTube to promote her music. Chenoa uses Google’s audio-visual platform to post a broad range of content, including music videos, interviews, clips from concerts and even videos about her day-to-day life. “In Spain there are barely any audio-visual channels that are free of charge for me to broadcast my music videos, but YouTube has allowed me to reach people all over the world. It’s a fantastic tool for gaining visibility,” Chenoa comments. Thanks to YouTube and social media platforms such as Google+, she has attracted more than 500,000 followers in just one year – and the number keeps growing. Chenoa acknowledges that Google has helped her to stay close to her followers, and she plans to keep using the Internet to reach audiences even further afield.
